Reading 1

Mi 5:1-4a

Thus says the LORD:

You, Bethlehem-Ephrathah

too small to be among the clans of Judah,

from you shall come forth for me

one who is to be ruler in Israel;

whose origin is from of old,

from ancient times.

Therefore the Lord will give them up, until the time

when she who is to give birth has borne,

and the rest of his kindred shall return

to the children of Israel.

He shall stand firm and shepherd his flock

by the strength of the LORD,

in the majestic name of the LORD, his God;

and they shall remain, for now his greatness

shall reach to the ends of the earth;

he shall be peace.

Responsorial Psalm

Ps 80:2-3, 15-16, 18-19

R. Lord, make us turn to you; let us see your face and we shall be saved.

O shepherd of Israel, hearken,

from your throne upon the cherubim, shine forth.

Rouse your power,

and come to save us.

Heb 10:5-10

Brothers and sisters:

When Christ came into the world, he said:

“Sacrifice and offering you did not desire,

but a body you prepared for me;

in holocausts and sin offerings you took no delight.

Then I said, ‘As is written of me in the scroll,

behold, I come to do your will, O God.’”

First he says, “Sacrifices and offerings,

holocausts and sin offerings,

you neither desired nor delighted in.”

These are offered according to the law.

Then he says, “Behold, I come to do your will.”

He takes away the first to establish the second.

By this “will,” we have been consecrated

through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Gospel

Lk 1:39-45

Mary set out

and traveled to the hill country in haste to a town of Judah,

where she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth.

When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting,

the infant leaped in her womb,

and Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit,

cried out in a loud voice and said,

“Blessed are you among women,

and blessed is the fruit of your womb.

And how does this happen to me,

that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

For at the moment the sound of your greeting reached my ears,

the infant in my womb leaped for joy.

Blessed are you who believed

that what was spoken to you by the Lord

would be fulfilled.”

Première Lecture

Lecture du livre de Michée (5, 1-4a)

Parole du Seigneur. Toi, Bethléem Ephrata, le plus petit des clans de Juda, c’est de toi que je ferai sortir celui qui doit gouverner Israël. Ses origines remontent aux temps anciens, à l’aube des siècles. Après un temps de délaissement, viendra un jour où enfantera celle qui doit enfanter, et ceux de ses frères qui resteront, rejoindront les enfants d’Israël. Il se dressera et il sera leur berger par la puissance du Seigneur, par la majesté du nom de son Dieu. Ils vivront en sécurité, car désormais sa puissance s’étendra jusqu’aux extrémités de la terre, et lui-même, il sera la paix !

Psaume 79 [80]

R.- Dieu, fais-nous revenir ; que ton visage s’éclaire, et nous serons sauvés !

Berger d’Israël, écoute,

toi qui conduis ton troupeau, resplendis !

Réveille ta vaillance

et viens nous sauver. R.-

Dieu de l’univers, reviens !

Du haut des cieux, regarde et vois :

visite cette vigne, protège-la,

celle qu’a plantée ta main puissante. R.-

Que ta main soutienne ton protégé,

Deuxième lecture

Lecture de la lettre aux Hébreux (10, 5-10)

Frères, en entrant dans le monde, le Christ dit, d’après le psaume : Tu n’as pas voulu de sacrifices ni d’offrandes, mais tu m’as fait un corps. Tu n’as pas accepté les holocaustes ni les expiations pour le péché, alors, je t’ai dit : Me voici, mon Dieu, je suis venu pour faire ta volonté, car c’est bien de moi que parle l’Écriture. Le Christ commence donc par dire : Tu n’as pas voulu ni accepté les sacrifices et les offrandes ; les holocaustes et les expiations pour le péché que la Loi prescrit d’offrir. Puis il déclare : Me voici, je suis venu pour faire ta volonté. Ainsi, il supprime l’ancien culte pour établir le nouveau. Et c’est par cette volonté de Dieu que nous sommes sanctifiés, grâce à l’offrande que Jésus Christ a faite de son corps, une fois pour toutes.

Évangile de Jésus Christ selon saint Luc (1, 39-45)

En ces jours-là Marie se mit en route rapidement vers une ville de la montagne de Judée. Elle entra dans la maison de Zacharie et salua Élisabeth. Or, quand Élisabeth entendit la salutation de Marie, l’enfant tressaillit en elle. Alors, Élisabeth fut remplie de l’Esprit Saint, et s’écria d’une voix forte : “Tu es bénie entre toutes les femmes, et le fruit de tes entrailles est béni. Comment ai-je ce bonheur que la mère de mon Seigneur vienne jusqu’à moi ? Car, lorsque j’ai entendu tes paroles de salutation, l’enfant a tressailli d’allégresse au-dedans de moi. Heureuse, celle qui a cru à l’accomplissement des paroles qui lui furent dites de la part du Seigneur.”

1. Lesung Mi 5, 1-4a

Lesung aus dem Buch Micha

Aber du, Betlehem-Efrata, so klein unter den Gauen Judas, aus dir wird mir einer hervorgehen, der über Israel herrschen soll. Sein Ursprung liegt in ferner Vorzeit, in längst vergangenen Tagen.

Darum gibt der Herr sie preis, bis die Gebärende einen Sohn geboren hat. Dann wird der Rest seiner Brüder heimkehren zu den Söhnen Israels.

Er wird auftreten und ihr Hirt sein in der Kraft des Herrn, im hohen Namen Jahwes, seines Gottes. Sie werden in Sicherheit leben; denn nun reicht seine Macht bis an die Grenzen der Erde. Und er wird der Friede sein.

R.- Richte uns wieder auf, o Gott, lass dein Angesicht leuchten, dann sind wir gerettet.

2. Lesung Hebr 10, 5-10

Lesung aus dem Hebräerbrief

Darum spricht Christus bei seinem Eintritt in die Welt: Schlacht- und Speiseopfer hast du nicht gefordert, doch einen Leib hast du mir geschaffen; an Brand- und Sündopfern hast du kein Gefallen.

Da sagte ich: Ja, ich komme - so steht es über mich in der Schriftrolle -, um deinen Willen, Gott, zu tun.

Zunächst sagt er: Schlacht- und Speiseopfer, Brand- und Sündopfer forderst du nicht, du hast daran kein Gefallen, obgleich sie doch nach dem Gesetz dargebracht werden; dann aber hat er gesagt: Ja, ich komme, um deinen Willen zu tun. So hebt Christus das erste auf, um das zweite in Kraft zu setzen.

Aufgrund dieses Willens sind wir durch die Opfergabe des Leibes Jesu Christi ein für alle Mal geheiligt.

Evangelium Lk 1, 39-45

Aus dem heiligen Evangelium nach Lukas

Nach einigen Tagen machte sich Maria auf den Weg und eilte in eine Stadt im Bergland von Judäa.

Sie ging in das Haus des Zacharias und begrüßte Elisabet.

Als Elisabet den Gruß Marias hörte, hüpfte das Kind in ihrem Leib. Da wurde Elisabet vom Heiligen Geist erfüllt und rief mit lauter Stimme: Gesegnet bist du mehr als alle anderen Frauen, und gesegnet ist die Frucht deines Leibes.

Wer bin ich, dass die Mutter meines Herrn zu mir kommt?

In dem Augenblick, als ich deinen Gruß hörte, hüpfte das Kind vor Freude in meinem Leib. Selig ist die, die geglaubt hat, dass sich erfüllt, was der Herr ihr sagen ließ.
