Reading 1

Is 6:1-2a, 3-8

In the year King Uzziah died,

I saw the Lord seated on a high and lofty throne,

with the train of his garment filling the temple.

Seraphim were stationed above.

They cried one to the other,

“Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts!

All the earth is filled with his glory!”

At the sound of that cry, the frame of the door shook

and the house was filled with smoke.

Then I said, “Woe is me, I am doomed!

For I am a man of unclean lips,

living among a people of unclean lips;

yet my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts!”

Then one of the seraphim flew to me,

holding an ember that he had taken with tongs from the altar.

He touched my mouth with it, and said,

“See, now that this has touched your lips,

your wickedness is removed, your sin purged.”

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying,

“Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?”

“Here I am,” I said; “send me!”

Ps 138:1-2, 2-3, 4-5, 7-8

R. In the sight of the angels I will sing your praises, Lord.

I will give thanks to you, O LORD, with all my heart,

for you have heard the words of my mouth;

1 Cor 15:1-11 or 15:3-8

I am reminding you, brothers and sisters,

of the gospel I preached to you,

which you indeed received and in which you also stand.

Through it you are also being saved,

if you hold fast to the word I preached to you,

unless you believed in vain.

For I handed on to you as of first importance what I also received:

that Christ died for our sins

in accordance with the Scriptures;

that he was buried;

that he was raised on the third day

in accordance with the Scriptures;

that he appeared to Cephas, then to the Twelve.

After that, Christ appeared to more

than five hundred brothers at once,

most of whom are still living,

though some have fallen asleep.

After that he appeared to James,

then to all the apostles.

Last of all, as to one born abnormally,

he appeared to me.

For I am the least of the apostles,

not fit to be called an apostle,

because I persecuted the church of God.

But by the grace of God I am what I am,

and his grace to me has not been ineffective.

Indeed, I have toiled harder than all of them;

not I, however, but the grace of God that is with me.

Therefore, whether it be I or they,

so we preach and so you believed.

Gospel

Lk 5:1-11

While the crowd was pressing in on Jesus and listening

to the word of God,

he was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret.

He saw two boats there alongside the lake;

the fishermen had disembarked and were washing their nets.

Getting into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon,

he asked him to put out a short distance from the shore.

Then he sat down and taught the crowds from the boat.

After he had finished speaking, he said to Simon,

“Put out into deep water and lower your nets for a catch.”

Simon said in reply,

“Master, we have worked hard all night and have caught nothing,

but at your command I will lower the nets.”

When they had done this, they caught a great number of fish

and their nets were tearing.

They signaled to their partners in the other boat

to come to help them.

They came and filled both boats

so that the boats were in danger of sinking.

When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at the knees of Jesus and said,

“Depart from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man.”

For astonishment at the catch of fish they had made seized him

and all those with him,

and likewise James and John, the sons of Zebedee,

who were partners of Simon.

Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid;

from now on you will be catching men.”

When they brought their boats to the shore,

they left everything and followed him.

Première Lecture

Lecture du livre d’Isaïe (6, 1-2a. 3-8)

L’année de la mort du roi Ozias, je vis le Seigneur qui siégeait sur un trône très élevé ; les pans de son manteau remplissaient le Temple. Des séraphins se tenaient au-dessus de lui. Ils se criaient l’un à l’autre : “Saint ! Saint ! Saint, le Seigneur Dieu de l’univers. Toute la terre est remplie de sa gloire.” Les pivots des portes se mirent à trembler à la voix de celui qui criait, et le Temple se remplissait de fumée. Je dis alors : “Malheur à moi ! je suis perdu, car je suis un homme aux lèvres impures, j’habite au milieu d’un peuple aux lèvres impures ; et mes yeux ont vu le Roi, le Seigneur de l’univers !” L’un des séraphins vola vers moi, tenant un charbon brûlant qu’il avait pris avec des pinces sur l’autel. Il l’approcha de ma bouche et dit : “Ceci a touché tes lèvres, et maintenant ta faute est enlevée, ton péché est pardonné.” J’entendis alors la voix du Seigneur qui disait : “Qui enverrai-je ? qui sera notre messager ?” Et j’ai répondu : “Moi, je serai ton messager : envoie-moi”

Psaume 137 [138]

R.- Saint est le Seigneur notre Dieu !

De tout mon cœur Seigneur, je te rends grâce :

tu as entendu les paroles de ma bouche.

Je te chante en présence des anges,

vers ton temple sacré, je me prosterne. R.-

Je rends grâce à ton nom pour ton amour et ta vérité,

car tu élèves, au-dessus de tout, ton nom et ta parole.

Le jour où tu répondis à mon appel,

tu fis grandir en mon âme la force. R.-

Tous les rois de la terre te rendent grâce

Ils chantent les chemins du Seigneur

Deuxième Lecture

Lecture de la première lettre de saint Paul Apôtre aux Corinthiens (15, 1-11)

Frères, je vous rappelle la Bonne Nouvelle que je vous ai annoncée ; cet Évangile, vous l’avez reçu, et vous y restez attachés ; vous serez sauvés par lui si vous le gardez tel que je vous l’ai annoncé ; autrement, c’est pour rien que vous êtes devenus croyants. Avant tout, je vous ai transmis ceci, que j’ai moi-même reçu : le Christ est mort pour nos péchés conformément aux Écritures, et il a été mis au tombeau, il est ressuscité le troisième jour conformément aux Écritures, et il est apparu à Pierre, puis aux Douze ; ensuite il est apparu à plus de cinq cents frères à la fois - la plupart sont encore vivants, et quelques-uns sont morts -, ensuite il est apparu à Jacques, puis à tous les Apôtres. Et en tout dernier lieu, il est même apparu à l’avorton que je suis.

Car moi, je suis le plus petit des Apôtres, je ne suis pas digne d’être appelé Apôtre, puisque j’ai persécuté l’Église de Dieu. Mais ce que je suis, je le suis par la grâce de Dieu, et la grâce dont il m’a comblé n’a pas été stérile : je me suis donné de la peine plus que tous les autres ; à vrai dire, ce n’est pas moi, c’est la grâce de Dieu avec moi. Bref, qu’il s’agisse de moi ou des autres, voilà notre message, et voilà votre foi.

Évangile de Jésus Christ selon saint Luc (5, 1-11)

Un jour, Jésus se trouvait sur le bord du lac de Génésareth : la foule se pressait autour de lui pour écouter la parole de Dieu. Il vit deux barques amarrées au bord du lac ; les pêcheurs en étaient descendus et lavaient leurs filets. Jésus monta dans une des barques qui appartenait à Simon, et lui demanda de s’éloigner un peu du rivage. Puis il s’assit et, de la barque, il enseignait la foule. Quand il eut fini de parler, il dit à Simon : “Avance au large, et jetez les filets pour prendre du poisson.” Simon lui répondit : “Maître, nous avons peiné toute la nuit sans rien prendre, mais, sur ton ordre, je vais jeter les filets.” Ils le firent, et ils prirent une telle quantité de poissons que leurs filets se déchiraient. Ils firent signe à leurs compagnons de l’autre barque de venir les aider. Ceux-ci vinrent, et ils remplirent les deux barques, à tel point qu’elles enfonçaient. À cette vue Simon-Pierre tomba aux pieds de Jésus, en disant : “Seigneur, éloigne-toi de moi, car je suis un homme pécheur.” L’effroi, en effet, l’avait saisi, lui et ceux qui étaient avec lui, devant la quantité de poissons qu’ils avaient prise ; et de même Jacques et Jean, fils de Zébédée, ses compagnons. Jésus dit à Simon . “Sois sans crainte, désormais ce sont des hommes que tu prendras.” Alors ils ramenèrent les barques au rivage et, laissant tout, ils le suivirent.

ERSTE Lesung Jes 6, 1-2a.3-8

Lesung aus dem Buch Jesaja

Im Todesjahr des Königs Usija sah ich den Herrn. Er saß auf einem hohen und erhabenen Thron. Der Saum seines Gewandes füllte den Tempel aus.

Serafim standen über ihm. Sie riefen einander zu: Heilig, heilig, heilig ist der Herr der Heere. Von seiner Herrlichkeit ist die ganze Erde erfüllt.

Die Türschwellen bebten bei ihrem lauten Ruf, und der Tempel füllte sich mit Rauch. Da sagte ich: Weh mir, ich bin verloren. Denn ich bin ein Mann mit unreinen Lippen und lebe mitten in einem Volk mit unreinen Lippen, und meine Augen haben den König, den Herrn der Heere, gesehen.

Da flog einer der Serafim zu mir; er trug in seiner Hand eine glühende Kohle, die er mit einer Zange vom Altar genommen hatte.

Er berührte damit meinen Mund und sagte: Das hier hat deine Lippen berührt: Deine Schuld ist getilgt, deine Sünde gesühnt.

Danach hörte ich die Stimme des Herrn, der sagte: Wen soll ich senden? Wer wird für uns gehen? Ich antwortete: Hier bin ich, sende mich!

Antwortpsalm Ps 138 (137), 1-2b.2c-3.4-5.7c-8 (R: 1b)

Ich will dir danken aus ganzem Herzen,

ZWEITE Lesung 1 Kor 15, 1-11

Lesung aus dem ersten Brief des Apostels Paulus an die Korinther

Ich erinnere euch, Brüder, an das Evangelium, das ich euch verkündet habe. Ihr habt es angenommen; es ist der Grund, auf dem ihr steht.

Durch dieses Evangelium werdet ihr gerettet, wenn ihr an dem Wortlaut festhaltet, den ich euch verkündet habe. Oder habt ihr den Glauben vielleicht unüberlegt angenommen?

Denn vor allem habe ich euch überliefert, was auch ich empfangen habe: Christus ist für unsere Sünden gestorben, gemäß der Schrift, und ist begraben worden. Er ist am dritten Tag auferweckt worden, gemäß der Schrift, und erschien dem Kephas, dann den Zwölf.

Danach erschien er mehr als fünfhundert Brüdern zugleich; die meisten von ihnen sind noch am Leben, einige sind entschlafen.

Danach erschien er dem Jakobus, dann allen Aposteln.

Als letztem von allen erschien er auch mir, dem Unerwarteten, der „Missgeburt“.

Denn ich bin der geringste von den Aposteln; ich bin nicht wert, Apostel genannt zu werden, weil ich die Kirche Gottes verfolgt habe.

Doch durch Gottes Gnade bin ich, was ich bin, und sein gnädiges Handeln an mir ist nicht ohne Wirkung geblieben. Mehr als sie alle habe ich mich abgemüht - nicht ich, sondern die Gnade Gottes zusammen mit mir.

Ob nun ich verkündige oder die anderen: das ist unsere Botschaft, und das ist der Glaube, den ihr angenommen habt.

Evangelium Lk 5, 1-11

Aus dem heiligen Evangelium nach Lukas

In jener Zeit, als Jesus am Ufer des Sees Genesaret stand, drängte sich das Volk um ihn und wollte das Wort Gottes hören.

Da sah er zwei Boote am Ufer liegen. Die Fischer waren ausgestiegen und wuschen ihre Netze.

Jesus stieg in das Boot, das dem Simon gehörte, und bat ihn, ein Stück weit vomLand wegzufahren. Dann setzte er sich und lehrte das Volk vom Boot aus.

Als er seine Rede beendet hatte, sagte er zu Simon: Fahr hinaus auf den See! Dort werft eure Netze zum Fang aus!

Simon antwortete ihm: Meister, wir haben die ganze Nacht gearbeitet und nichts gefangen. Doch wenn du es sagst, werde ich die Netze auswerfen.

Das taten sie, und sie fingen eine so große Menge Fische, dass ihre Netze zu reißen drohten.

Deshalb winkten sie ihren Gefährten im anderen Boot, sie sollten kommen und ihnen helfen. Sie kamen, und gemeinsam füllten sie beide Boote bis zum Rand, so dass sie fast untergingen.

Als Simon Petrus das sah, fiel er Jesus zu Füßen und sagte: Herr, geh weg von mir; ich bin ein Sünder.

Denn er und alle seine Begleiter waren erstaunt und erschrocken, weil sie so viele Fische gefangen hatten; ebenso ging es Jakobus und Johannes, den Söhnen des Zebedäus, die mit Simon zusammenarbeiteten. Da sagte Jesus zu Simon: Fürchte dich nicht! Von jetzt an wirst du Menschen fangen.

Und sie zogen die Boote an Land, ließen alles zurück und folgten ihm nach.
