Reading 1

Is 66:10-14c

Thus says the LORD:

Rejoice with Jerusalem and be glad because of her,

all you who love her;

exult, exult with her,

all you who were mourning over her!

Oh, that you may suck fully

of the milk of her comfort,

that you may nurse with delight

at her abundant breasts!

For thus says the LORD:

Lo, I will spread prosperity over Jerusalem like a river,

and the wealth of the nations like an overflowing torrent.

As nurslings, you shall be carried in her arms,

and fondled in her lap;

as a mother comforts her child,

so will I comfort you;

in Jerusalem you shall find your comfort.

When you see this, your heart shall rejoice

and your bodies flourish like the grass;

the LORD’s power shall be known to his servants.

Brothers and sisters:

May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ,

through which the world has been crucified to me,

and I to the world.

For neither does circumcision mean anything, nor does uncircumcision,

but only a new creation.

Peace and mercy be to all who follow this rule

and to the Israel of God.

From now on, let no one make troubles for me;

for I bear the marks of Jesus on my body.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit,

Lk 10:1-12, 17-20 or 10:1-9

At that time the Lord appointed seventy-two others

whom he sent ahead of him in pairs

to every town and place he intended to visit.

He said to them,

“The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few;

so ask the master of the harvest

to send out laborers for his harvest.

Go on your way;

behold, I am sending you like lambs among wolves.

Carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals;

and greet no one along the way.

Into whatever house you enter, first say,

‘Peace to this household.’

If a peaceful person lives there,

your peace will rest on him;

but if not, it will return to you.

Stay in the same house and eat and drink what is offered to you,

for the laborer deserves his payment.

Do not move about from one house to another.

Whatever town you enter and they welcome you,

eat what is set before you,

cure the sick in it and say to them,

‘The kingdom of God is at hand for you.’

Whatever town you enter and they do not receive you,

go out into the streets and say,

‘The dust of your town that clings to our feet,

even that we shake off against you.’

Yet know this: the kingdom of God is at hand.

I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom on that day than for that town.”

The seventy-two returned rejoicing, and said,

“Lord, even the demons are subject to us because of your name.”

Jesus said, “I have observed Satan fall like lightning from the sky.

Behold, I have given you the power to ‘tread upon serpents’ and scorpions and upon the full force of the enemy and nothing will harm you. Nevertheless, do not rejoice because the spirits are subject to you,but rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”

Première lecture:

Lecture du livre d’Isaïe (66, 10-14c)

Réjouissez-vous avec Jérusalem. exultez à cause d’elle, vous tous qui l’aimez ! Avec elle soyez pleins d’allégresse, vous tous qui portiez son deuil ! Ainsi vous serez nourris et rassasiés du lait de ses consolations et vous puiserez avec délices à l’abondance de sa gloire. Voici ce que dit le Seigneur : Je dirigerai vers elle la paix comme un fleuve, et la gloire des nations comme un torrent qui déborde. Vous serez comme des nourrissons que l’on porte sur son bras, que l’on caresse sur ses genoux. De même qu’une mère console son enfant, moi-même je vous consolerai, dans Jérusalem vous serez consolés. Vous le verrez, et votre cœur se réjouira ; vos membres, comme l’herbe nouvelle, seront rajeunis. Et le Seigneur fera connaître sa puissance à ses serviteurs.

Lecture de la lettre de saint Paul Apôtre aux Galates (6, 14-18)

Que la croix de notre Seigneur Jésus Christ reste mon seul orgueil. Par elle, le monde est à jamais crucifié pour moi, et moi, pour le monde. Ce qui compte, ce n’est pas la circoncision, c’est la création nouvelle Pour tous ceux gui suivent cette règle de vie et pour le véritable Israël de Dieu, paix et miséricorde. Dès lors, que personne ne vienne me tourmenter. Car moi, je porte dans mon corps la marque des souffrances de Jésus. Frères, que la grâce de notre Seigneur Jésus Christ soit avec votre esprit. Amen.

Évangile de Jésus Christ selon saint Luc (10, 1-12. 17-20)

Parmi ses disciples, le Seigneur en désigna encore soixante-douze, et il les envoya deux par deux devant lui dans toutes les villes et localités où lui-même devait aller. Il leur dit : “La moisson est abondante, mais les ouvriers sont peu nombreux. Priez donc le maître de la moisson d’envoyer des ouvriers pour sa moisson. Allez ! Je vous envoie comme des agneaux au milieu des loups. N’emportez ni argent, ni sac, ni sandales, et ne vous attardez pas en salutations sur la route. Dans toute maison où vous entrerez, dites d’abord : ‘Paix à cette maison.’ S’il y a là un ami de la paix, votre paix ira reposer sur lui, sinon, elle reviendra sur vous. Restez dans cette maison, mangeant et buvant ce que l’on vous servira, car le travailleur mérite son salaire. Ne passez pas de maison en maison. Dans toute ville où vous entrerez et où vous serez accueillis, mangez ce qu’on vous offrira. Là, guérissez les malades, et dites aux habitants : ‘Le règne de Dieu est tout proche de vous.’

Mais dans toute ville où vous entrerez et où vous ne serez pas accueillis, sortez sur les places et dites : ‘Même la poussière de votre ville, collée à nos pieds, nous la secouons pour vous la laisser. Pourtant sachez-le : le règne de Dieu est tout proche.’ Je vous le déclare : au jour du Jugement, Sodome sera traitée moins sévèrement que cette ville.” Les soixante-douze disciples revinrent tout joyeux. Ils racontaient : “Seigneur, même les esprits mauvais nous sont soumis en ton nom.” Jésus leur dit : “Je voyais Satan tomber du ciel comme l’éclair. Vous, je vous ai donné pouvoir d’écraser serpents et scorpions et pouvoir sur toute la puissance de l’Ennemi ; et rien ne pourra vous faire du mal. Cependant, ne vous réjouissez pas parce que les esprits vous sont soumis ; mais réjouissez- vous parce que vos noms sont inscrits dans les cieux.”

Lesung aus dem Buch Jesaja

Freut euch mit Jerusalem! Jubelt in der Stadt, alle, die ihr sie liebt. Seid fröhlich mit ihr, alle, die ihr über sie traurig wart.

Saugt euch satt an ihrer tröstenden Brust, trinkt und labt euch an ihrem mütterlichen Reichtum!

Denn so spricht der Herr: Seht her: Wie einen Strom leite ich den Frieden zu ihr und den Reichtum der Völker wie einen rauschenden Bach. Ihre Kinder wird man auf den Armen tragen und auf den Knien schaukeln.

Wie eine Mutter ihren Sohn tröstet, so tröste ich euch; in Jerusalem findet ihr Trost.

Wenn ihr das seht, wird euer Herz sich freuen, und ihr werdet aufblühen wie frisches Gras. So offenbart sich die Hand des Herrn an seinen Knechten.

Lesung aus dem Brief des Apostels Paulus an die Galater

Ich aber will mich allein des Kreuzes Jesu Christi, unseres Herrn, rühmen, durch das mir die Welt gekreuzigt ist und ich der Welt.

Denn es kommt nicht darauf an, ob einer beschnitten oder unbeschnitten ist, sondern darauf, dass er neue Schöpfung ist.

Friede und Erbarmen komme über alle, die sich von diesem Grundsatz leiten lassen, und über das Israel Gottes.

In Zukunft soll mir niemand mehr solche Schwierigkeiten bereiten. Denn ich trage die Zeichen Jesu an meinem Leib.

Die Gnade Jesu Christi, unseres Herrn, sei mit eurem Geist, meine Brüder. Amen.

Evangelium Lk 10, 1-12.17-20

Aus dem heiligen Evangelium nach Lukas

Danach suchte der Herr zweiundsiebzig andere aus und sandte sie zu zweit voraus in alle Städte und Ortschaften, in die er selbst gehen wollte.

Er sagte zu ihnen: Die Ernte ist groß, aber es gibt nur wenig Arbeiter. Bittet also den Herrn der Ernte, Arbeiter für seine Ernte auszusenden.

Geht! Ich sende euch wie Schafe mitten unter die Wölfe.

Nehmt keinen Geldbeutel mit, keine Vorratstasche und keine Schuhe! Grüßt niemand unterwegs!

Wenn ihr in ein Haus kommt, so sagt als Erstes: Friede diesem Haus!

Und wenn dort ein Mann des Friedens wohnt, wird der Friede, den ihr ihm wünscht, auf ihm ruhen; andernfalls wird er zu euch zurückkehren.

Bleibt in diesem Haus, esst und trinkt, was man euch anbietet; denn wer arbeitet, hat ein Recht auf seinen Lohn. Zieht nicht von einem Haus in ein anderes!

Wenn ihr in eine Stadt kommt und man euch aufnimmt, so esst, was man euch vorsetzt.

Heilt die Kranken, die dort sind, und sagt den Leuten: Das Reich Gottes ist euch nahe.

Wenn ihr aber in eine Stadt kommt, in der man euch nicht aufnimmt, dann stellt euch auf die Straße und ruft:

Selbst den Staub eurer Stadt, der an unseren Füßen klebt, lassen wir euch zurück; doch das sollt ihr wissen: Das Reich Gottes ist nahe.

Ich sage euch: Sodom wird es an jenem Tag nicht so schlimm ergehen wie dieser Stadt.

Die Zweiundsiebzig kehrten zurück und berichteten voll Freude: Herr, sogar die Dämonen gehorchen uns, wenn wir deinen Namen aussprechen.

Da sagte er zu ihnen: Ich sah den Satan wie einen Blitz vom Himmel fallen.

Seht, ich habe euch die Vollmacht gegeben, auf Schlangen und Skorpione zu treten und die ganze Macht des Feindes zu überwinden. Nichts wird euch schaden können.

Doch freut euch nicht darüber, dass euch die Geister gehorchen, sondern freut euch darüber, dass eure Namen im Himmel verzeichnet sind
